The weather
The weather in San Martín de los Andes is mainly dry, approximately with a 30% of humidity. Next we detailed some general characteristics to them of the typical weather at the different times from the year, to help you plan a better trip.
Summer
The thermal amplitude oscillates between 8ºC and 30ºC. Approaching noon time you can swim in the lakes, as the temperature begins to be more pleasant. With the fall of the sun it is necessary to have a light coat near as the temperature can go down 10ºC, in a few minutes.
Fall
The temperatures fluctuate during the day between 1º and 10º. In second half of the autumn first rains appear to anticipate the arrival of the snow. At this time it is necessary to always take a good shelter
Winter
The temperatures in the city vary between 1º and 6º below cero. In Chapelco Ski Centre it can reach 12º below cero. In June and July the snow starts to fall in our ski centre and the rains next to some snow-covered the city. Now much shelter is needed!
Spring
The sunny days and the warmest temperatures begin to appear. The thermal amplitude varies between 8º and 20º. At this time of the year the climate generally is dry and very pleasant, but yet a jacket is still needed.
